BATS Applications
Networks
The BATS system is the industry’s only automated, self-locking antenna that provides a cost-effective solution for extending wireless broadband networks. The solution allows a network operator to leverage reliable radio technology to enable high-speed Internet access to customers without expending a lot of resources on realigning radio communication signals.
With a return on investment measured in months, the BATS’ system allows operators to reach more customers and provide more services in order to increase profitability. Low equipment and deployment costs to reach more customers allowing operators to provide more services and increase profitability. The BATS technology is able to find and lock onto a friendly radio over a range of up to 35 miles (50km) in point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and fixed-to-mobile deployments.
Critical Communications
BATS’ wireless broadband technology allows critical response teams to quickly establish a communications center within ad-hoc field environments that require little technical support by ground personnel. Within minutes of deployment, the BATS system can locate friendly communication points and optimize for the highest bandwidth available.
The system is ideal for first responders, public safety, military, border patrol and other critical communications requirements.
Offshore
This high-bandwidth Internet access technology increases real-time activities and collaboration between office-based asset teams and remote sites. Rig operators, engineers, service companies and other field personnel can access continuous high-speed Internet to deliver critical site information. The BATS’ system provides a reliable, high-speed communications solution for critical and multi-million dollar decisions are being communicated from the field back to the office.
In addition to oil and gas communications needs, the system is reliable and cost-effective in various maritime deployments, such as ship-to-shore, ship-to-ship, luxury yachting and US Coast Guard communications.
