OVERVIEW
In one of the most inhospitable regions of the world, a defense technologies company needed to establish communication links with gigabit speeds between locations that were 3 to 11 miles apart. Over harsh and hostile mountain terrain, establishing a link between these end points continually proved to be more than challenging. The customer sought to establish a communication link of gigabit speeds utilizing antennas under one degree in beamwidth. From drop-off to finish, the link would need to be established between two remote locations in less than three hours.

SOLUTION
Utilizing the BATS BTS-5000 High Precision Positioning System, and pairing it with BridgeWave AR80X AdaptRate™ radios, which have ultra-narrow beamwidth of just 0.4 degree, BATS was able to establish a massive capacity (Gb+) communication link within 15 minutes from setup with an accuracy within 0.01 degree.
